RALEIGH, N.C. — A 40-year-old man died early Saturday after cutting his arm inside his Hedingham home, Raleigh police said.

Officers responding to the home in the 6000 block of Osprey Cove Drive about 1 a.m. found Justin Wayde Snyder dead in the street outside his home.

Investigators, who ruled the death accidental, said Snyder cut his arm after falling inside the house.

Elissa Fotta, one of Snyder's neighbors, said lights from Raleigh police cruisers woke her up shortly after 1 a.m.

"We walked out the door and it's just eight cop cars filling our street," Fotta said. "I couldn't get an incredibly good look at it, but I know (the body) didn't have any shoes on and you could see some blood."

Raleigh police did not release any other information about Snyder's death.
