CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Fayetteville police said Friday they are investigating two separate sexual assaults that happened in the last week.

The first crime occurred Tuesday in the 500 block of Bragg Boulevard. A woman told detectives that two men drove her to that location and sexually assaulted her. The men were driving an older model green Jeep Cherokee.

In the second assault, a woman told detectives she was waiting for a ride when a man drove up in a dark-colored van and forced her inside at gunpoint. He drove her to an area between Roberson Street and Southern Avenue, where he sexually assaulted the woman.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fayetteville police at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477. Crime Stoppers pays cash for information leading to an arrest, and callers may remain confidential.
