Police identify Chapel Hill stabbing victim

Police on Monday identified the man killed in a Friday night stabbing in Chapel Hill.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Police on Monday identified the man killed in a Friday night stabbing in Chapel Hill.

Walter Arthur Preston, 27, was stabbed in the 200 block of East Franklin Street. He died at UNC Hospitals.

Police charged Charles Anthony Rhames, 25, of Chapel Hill, with first-degree murder in the case. He was arrested Saturday afternoon in Carrboro and is being held without bond in the Orange County jail.
