Police: No meth lab found following allegations from burn victim

DURHAM, N.C. — No meth lab was found in the area where a Durham man said he was injured by a meth lab explosion Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities responded to a call about a man with severe burns near the intersection of East Club Boulevard and Ambridge Street just after 2 p.m.

Durham police said the man told officers that he had been burned in a meth lab explosion, but could not give an exact location for the lab.

As of Wednesday night, police had not located the meth lab. The investigation is ongoing.
