Police: Boy, 9, struck by car in Durham
A 9-year-old boy was struck by a car Saturday afternoon in the 700 block of Liberty Street, Durham police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A 9-year-old boy was struck by a car Saturday afternoon in the 700 block of Liberty Street, Durham police said.
Investigators said the boy was struck about 1 p.m. after running into the road to follow his mother across the street.
The boy's name has not been released, but he was taken to a local hospital and was in critical condition, authorities said.
No charges have been filed, but the wreck is still under investigation.
