Police: Body found in NCSU parking lot; no signs of foul play

The North Carolina State University Police Department is investigating after a body was found Saturday morning in a campus parking lot.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina State University Police Department is investigating after a body was found Saturday morning in a campus parking lot.

A WolfAlert email sent to students said a deceased person was found around 6:30 a.m. in the Varsity Drive Parking Lot near Marcom and Gorman streets. There are no signs of foul play and no indication there is any threat to the campus community, the email said.

University police are working to identify the person and notify the person's family.

Officials confirmed that campus police were investigating and were still on scene around 8:30 a.m.
