Plane makes emergency landing at RDU

Engine trouble forced a US Airways jet to make an emergency landing at Raleigh-Durham International Airport late Thursday night.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Engine trouble forced a US Airways jet to make an emergency landing at Raleigh-Durham International Airport late Thursday night.

The plane, which was carrying 51 people, landed as a precaution after one of its engines went out, a spokesperson with the airport said. No injuries were reported.

The flight was on its way from Charlotte to White Plains, N.Y. when it was diverted to RDU.
