Plane makes emergency landing at RDU

Posted May 25, 2012

— Engine trouble forced a US Airways jet to make an emergency landing at Raleigh-Durham International Airport late Thursday night.

The plane, which was carrying 51 people, landed as a precaution after one of its engines went out, a spokesperson with the airport said. No injuries were reported.

The flight was on its way from Charlotte to White Plains, N.Y. when it was diverted to RDU.

with all the Extra charges for checked bags, carried bags, drinks, and seats located somewhere, This was an experiment to see if people would pay More to use Both engines.(after all, two use more fuel than one)
Apparently travelers draw the line somewhere, at what they will accept in the way of extra charges. So they landed.

"How far can we get on one engine?"

"At least as far as the scene of the crash, and I bet we get there 30 minutes before the paramedics do."
