Raeford man charged in fatal pedestrian hit-and-run

Police charged a Hoke County man Wednesday with a hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian on Raeford Road in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police charged a Hoke County man Wednesday with a hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian on Raeford Road in Fayetteville.

Timothy Patrick Duclos, 27, of the 400 block of Royal Berkdale Drive in Raeford, was charged with felony hit-and-run, driving while impaired and having no operator's license. He was being held in the Cumberland County jail under a $15,000 bond.

Stephen Michael Floyd, 43, of Kingstree, S.C., was in the road when he was hit by a Ford Ranger pickup in the 6800 block of Raeford Road at about 2 a.m., police said.

The pickup was abandoned a short distance from the scene of the hit-and-run, police said.
