Pedestrian killed at Chapel Hill intersection
A woman was struck by a car and killed Wednesday night near the intersection of Fordham Boulevard and Estes Drive in Chapel Hill, authorities said.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A woman was struck by a car and killed Wednesday night near the intersection of Fordham Boulevard and Estes Drive in Chapel Hill, authorities said.
Lisa Renee Baldwin, 41, of Chapel Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nearby residents said the impact sounded like a gunshot.
In WRAL video from the scene, a red two-door car appeared to have significant front-end damage, including a shattered windshield.
It wasn't clear whether any charges would be filed.
