SUV hits, kills man in Fayetteville
A man walking in a Fayetteville roadway early Sunday was hit by an SUV and killed, police said.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man walking in a Fayetteville roadway early Sunday was hit by an SUV and killed, police said.
Handral Santil, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Santil walked into the path of an SUV driven by Nicole Pierce, 29, on Clinton Road near the North Plymouth Street intersection around 12:30 a.m.
Police said Pierce did not see Santil. She was not seriously injured but was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for evaluation.
The case remains under investigation.
