Passenger dies after being ejected from SUV in Fayetteville wreck

A 33-year-old passenger in an SUV died late Tuesday after being ejected from the vehicle when it crashed on Bragg Boulevard near Santa Fe Drive, Fayetteville police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 33-year-old passenger in an SUV died late Tuesday after being ejected from the vehicle when it crashed on Bragg Boulevard near Santa Fe Drive, Fayetteville police said.

The wreck happened at about 10:55 p.m. when Philemon Prsopere, the driver of a 2000 Ford Explorer traveling north on Bragg Boulevard, ran off the road. The SUV overturned, and Felix Bermudez-Andrade was ejected and killed.

Prospere was not seriously injured.

An investigation into the cause of the wreck is ongoing, authorities said.
