A part of Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh will soon get a new name.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — A part of Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh will soon get a new name.

The Wake County Board of Commissioners voted Monday to rename the two-mile stretch from the Neuse River to Durham Road. Starting Oct. 15, that section will be known as Old Falls of Neuse Road.

Board members said the name change is needed to avoid confusing drivers and emergency responders.<br />
