Pair sought in Durham robbery, shooting

— Police were searching for two men Thursday in connection with a robbery and shooting that left a bystander with a minor injury.

Two men fired shots while fleeing a robbery in the 300 block of South Guthrie Avenue at about noon, police said. One shot hit a car parked on Angier Avenue, grazing a man in the car, and another shot hit a second car driving down the street.

The wounded man was treated at the scene, police said. No other injuries were reported.

    In that area anything could happen,,,, it like a war zone there.

    Really? How many buildings and homes in that area lay in ruins? Are there craters in the ground from bombings? People in the streets with legs and arms blown off? I doubt you have ever seen a war zone. Except of course, from the comfort of your recliner.
