HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Orange County deputies said Friday that they have recovered saddles and tack equipment stolen from a horse farm in Ontario.

The farm owner called deputies to report that the equipment, which was stolen from 12 teenage girls, was posted for sale on eBay. Investigators determined that the saddles and other items were being stored in a building in Alamance County, and they were seized during a search of the building.

Ronald Nixon Jr. of 2813 Lebanon Road, was charged with felony possession of stolen property. He was being held in the Orange County jail under a $75,000 bond.

The saddles and equipment are being held in Orange County for examination by the court before being returned to the Canadian girls, authorities said.
