One wounded in Carrboro drive-by shooting

Three people were walking along Jones Ferry Road near Davie Road at about 2 a.m. when a vehicle drove up and shots were fired from the vehicle at the pedestrians, police said.

CARRBORO, N.C. — One person was wounded early Thursday in a drive-by shooting in Carrboro, police said.

Three people were walking along Jones Ferry Road near Davie Road at about 2 a.m. when a vehicle drove up and shots were fired from the vehicle at the pedestrians, police said.

One person was shot and was treated at UNC Hospitals and released.

The vehicle was described as a dark-colored, four-door sedan with tinted windows.
