One person seriously injured in Clayton motorcycle crash

Officials said one person was seriously injured after a motorcycle collided with a car on U.S. Highway 42 on Barber Mill Road near Cheltenham in Clayton around 9 p.m. Saturday evening.

CLAYTON, N.C. — Officials said one person was seriously injured after a motorcycle collided with a car of U.S. Highway 42 on Barber Mill Road near Cheltenham in Clayton around 9 p.m. Saturday evening.

Kevin Medina, 23, of Clayton, was taken to WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh, authorities said.

Police said charges are pending against the driver of the car, 55-year-old Steven Ellen, of Clayton. Ellen was treated on the scene by Johnston County EMS.

No further information has been released.
