One person killed in Raleigh crash

One person was killed Friday in a car crash at the intersection of Leesville and Lynn Roads in northwest Raleigh, police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 49-year-old Raleigh man was killed Friday evening in a wreck involving four vehicles at the intersection of Leesville and Lynn Roads in northwest Raleigh, police said. 

According to investigators, Anthony Darnell Brown lost control of his 2005 Toyota pickup truck after hitting the curb while traveling west on Lynn Road. 

Brown's truck sideswiped a car that was stopped at a red light at the intersection, hit a Chrysler sedan that was traveling through the intersection north on Lynn Road, overturned and hit a car that was stopped at a red light. 

Investigators said Brown was wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck. Drugs and alcohol were not a factor. 

No other injuries were reported in the wreck. The intersection reopened late Friday.
