One person was killed and three others were injured Thursday evening after a two vehicle wreck on U.S. Highway 15-501 North in Southern Pines.

<b>SOUTHERN PINES, N.C.</b> — One person was killed and three others were injured Thursday evening after a two vehicle wreck on U.S. Highway 15-501 North in Southern Pines.

The wreck happened after a southbound vehicle swerved into the path of a northbound vehicle, witnesses said. The collision occurred near the entrance to Pinecrest High School.
