One person was killed and another injured after a wreck near Industrial Park Drive in Selma Saturday afternoon.

<b>SMITHFIELD, N.C.</b> — One person was killed and another injured after a wreck on the U.S. Highway 70 Bypass near Industrial Park Drive in Selma on Saturday afternoon, police said. 

The wreck happened around 2 p.m. and involved two cars.

Authorities have not released the name of the person who was killed or how the wreck happened. A second victim was taken to Johnston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
