One injured after shooting in Durham

Officers responded to a “subject shot” call at 1340 New Castle Road at about 9:43 p.m., where they found the victim, a male, shot in his leg and his side.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday night that left one person injured.

Officers responded to a “subject shot” call at 1340 New Castle Road at about 9:43 p.m., where they found the victim, a male, shot in his leg and his side.

He was taken to Duke Hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities did not release any other information about the shooting, including the identity or age of the victim.
