Fayetteville, N.C. — Fayetteville police arrested a 20-year-old man Tuesday and charged him in connection to the fatal shooting of Brandon Ratliff at a Wendy's restaurant.
Antonio Deondre Amur Styles, of the 600 block of Monagan Street, was charged with first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery in connection to the Saturday shooting.
Ratliff, 31, of Virginia, was shot and pronounced dead at the scene. Styles was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries he sustained during the shooting.
Styles was being jailed at the Cumberland County Detenmtion Center without bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
One man died and two others were injured in a shooting at a Wendy's restaurant on Saturday.
Fayetteville police responded to a shooting at the Wendy’s located at 2903 Raeford Road around 3:15 p.m.
31-year-old Brandon L. Ratliff, from Virginia, was shot and pronounced dead at the scene.
A second man was shot in the arm, and a third man was shot in the hand, police said. The victims are recovering from non-life-threatening injuries at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the men had arranged to meet each other in the restaurant parking lot. One of the subjects pulled out a handgun and gunshots were fired. Police emphasized this was not a random incident.
Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Departments’s homicide unit are investigating the shooting and homicide.
