One dead in Moore County car crash

The accident involved a pickup truck and a passenger car. Both vehicles were overturned on their sides, according to officials.

Emergency responders freed two people that were trapped from the passenger car. An adult male from the vehicle was transported to FirstHealth Hospital in Pinehurst, and a woman in the vehicle was reported dead at the scene, according to the Aberdeen Times.

Three passengers in total were injured in the accident and were transported to a local hospital, officials said.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident. No further information has been released.
