Police: No hazardous materials found in suspicious package at Raleigh bus station

Officials closed portions of Capital Boulevard Sunday after a suspicious package was found at the Greyhound bus station.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Officials closed portions of Capital Boulevard Sunday after a suspicious package was found at the Greyhound bus station.

Around 12 p.m., officers with the Raleigh Police Department responded to a call about a package at the bus station located at 2210 Capital Boulevard.

The package prompted officials to temporarily close northbound Capital Boulevard at Fenton Street and southbound Capital Boulevard at Crabtree Boulevard.

The road reopened just after 3:30 p.m.

Authorities said nothing hazardous was located when the package was examined.
