Mistrial declared for murder suspect once mistakenly released
A judge granted a mistrial in the case against William Otis Bryant Jr, who is charged with the 1999 slaying of a cab driver in Apex.

A bond of $200,000 was set for William Otis Bryant Jr., 40, while he awaits a new trial.
Bryant was arrested in February 2010 on first-degree murder charges in the 1999 death of Anthony Jaboin, a cab driver who was shot in the parking lot of West Lake Elementary School in Apex.
At the time of his arrest, Bryant was serving time for a 2009 conviction for selling drugs. When he finished that sentence on April 2, he was released from the Bertie County Correctional Institute, instead of being turned over to the Wake County Sheriff's Office.
He surrendered to authorities a week later.
