Greensboro, N.C. — Authorities on Saturday morning canceled a Silver Alert issued for 88-year-old Canoy Weeks Blair, of Greensboro.
The alert for Blair was issued around 8 p.m. Friday and canceled about six hours later.
Authorities did not release any details about how she was found or her condition. Blair had last been seen driving in Greensboro.
Developed in 2007, Silver Alert is a system to quickly notify the public about missing, endangered adults who suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairments, such as Alzheimer's disease.
It also allows caregivers and nursing homes to report a person missing. In the past, only a family member could report an adult missing.
