Raleigh, N.C. — A Raleigh man was arrested Friday after police said he stabbed a woman several times after a dispute.
Melvin Lancaster, 45, of 311 Stoney Moss Drive, faces an attempted murder charge in the stabbing of Renee Jones.
The stabbing was reported 11 a.m. Friday at Lancaster’s home. Police said Lancaster and Jones know each other and the assault began with a dispute.
Jones’ condition was not available.
Lancaster was being held Saturday at the Wake County jail under a $500,000 bond. His next court date is Monday.
