Wake Forest, N.C. — Wake Forest police released a composite sketch Thursday of a man wanted in connection with the Feb. 29 robbery and shooting of a store clerk.
Police say the assailant shot Samir Patel at the Quality Food Mart at 2206 S. Main St. The man fled the scene with an unknown amount of money.
Patel, 32, was working alone and managed to call 911 after the shooting.
Police are looking for a black man in his early 20s, standing between 5 feet, 9 inches and 6 feet tall, weighing 180 to 200 pounds, with shoulder-length dreadlocks and gold teeth.
He was last seen wearing dark blue jeans with gold embroidery, a red shirt with gold and silver writing and a black-hooded sweatshirt.
Anyone near the Quality Food Mart around the time of the shooting is asked to call the Wake Forest Police Department at 919-556-9111.
