Holly Springs, N.C. — Holly Springs police said two motorcyclists were injured during a brief chase Friday night.
Officers said they began following a motorcycle around 9:30 p.m. after they saw it speeding and moving erratically. The chase ended about 10 minutes later when the motorcyclist laid his bike down at Holly Springs and Sunset Lake roads.
His female passenger was tossed from the bike shortly before the end of the chase, and the motorcyclist fell off as he laid his bike down, police said. They were taken to an area hospital. Police did not release their identities.
Charges against the two were pending Friday night.
Police said earlier reports that the bike and a police cruiser collided were incorrect.
