RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police were searching early Friday for at least two people who beat up a man near North Carolina State University's campus late Thursday night.

Officers found the man in a parking lot at the corner of Hillsborough Street and Dan Allen Drive just after 11 p.m.

His name was not released, but authorities said he was taken to WakeMed Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators said Friday they were trying to determine if the suspects and the victim knew each other.

It wasn't clear what started the fight, but according to police, at least two suspects left the scene in an SUV following the incident.

No other information was released.
