Three fires reported in Durham

Firefighters in Durham had a busy morning Sunday, responding to three blazes, two of which were to homes.

DURHAM, N.C. — Firefighters in Durham had a busy morning Sunday, responding to three blazes, two of which were to homes.

There were no reports of injuries in any of the fires, investigators said.

The first was at 12:15 a.m. at a wholesale tire company at 2200 Angier Ave. The building suffered no damage but a tractor trailer truck was destroyed and two delivery trucks were damaged.

A house fire at 603 Oakwood Ave. was reported at 1:54 a.m. Everyone inside the home was able to get out. Damage was limited to the back porch and side of the house.

An empty house at 3602 Dearborn Drive caught fire shortly after 5 a.m.

The causes of the fires were under investigation Sunday.
