CLINTON, N.C. — A former Sampson County teacher is facing child pornography charges.

The State Bureau of Investigation’s Computer Crimes Unit arrested Paul Stephen Pearsall, 31, of the 11000 block of Ludhorne Drive in Roseboro, Thursday and charged him with three counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor for possession of child porn.

Pearsall resigned Thursday from his job as an eighth-grade science teacher at Hobbton Middle School in Newton Grove, Sampson County Schools spokeswoman Susan Warren said. He had been employed there since February 2008.
