Posted — UpdatedKNIGHTDALE, N.C. — A Wake County man faces accusations that he stole a car put out by sheriff's deputies to tempt would-be thieves.
Deputies said that Agustin Daniel Seoane, 35, stole a 1994 Toyota sedan that they had placed along U.S. Highway 264 Bypass in Knightdale. The Toyota is worth $2,000, according to an arrest warrant.
Seoane was charged Wednesday with one count of felony larceny.
Deputies said they put out the bait car because there's been a recent increase in thefts of broken-down vehicles.
