A resurfacing project that begins in downtown Raleigh next week could created delays for drivers.

Workers will be resurfacing a 1.2-mile section of Blount and Person streets between Edenton Street and Hoke Street. The work should begin just south of Edenton Street and end just north of Hoke Street.

Traffic near Moore Square and Shaw University could be impacted, but the project will not be going on during morning or evening hours.
