<p>Good morning. I'm meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner. I'm tracking a dangerous storm that's been producing severe weather across the country. We take a look at where it is right now and you can see where the red shaded areas are where we have tornado watches still in place overnight. There were a number of severe thunderstorm warnings and even a few tornado warnings. A few thunderstorms are starting to crop up over the mountains right now, but we're not likely to see anything until later this afternoon. We do have a level two risk for severe storms both today and tomorrow. You can see it covers almost the whole day. There's today and we'll push it ahead to Thursday, damaging winds, hail, isolated tornadoes, heavy rain, all a possibility. So that starts this evening. Around five or six o'clock continues all night. We may end up with some severe weather overnight and even into the very early morning hours on Thursday and damaging winds, hail, isolated tornadoes will be our biggest threats. We're going to see waves of storms overnight. Most of that ends before lunchtime we'll be watching for an isolated storm Thursday afternoon, but the bulk of it looks like it will be early in the day. Some spotty power outages are certainly a possibility. Let's walk you through the timeline here on Futurecast. It's a quiet start this morning. We're seeing partly cloudy skies. That's true all the way until around three or four in the afternoon. By five or six, we begin to see these storms developing. There's seven pm and nine pm. So some evening thunderstorms, there's another band that develops there around midnight and continues into the early morning hours. So we could have severe storms even in the wee hours of the morning tomorrow. So you need to be sure that you have a way to get the severe alert overnight. We'll continue to see some clearing as we get into the afternoon on Thursday, possibly a pop up storm. But for the most part, it looks like that we should clear out a bit and we may see a repeat of some scattered storms in the afternoon on Friday, Goldsboro, partly cloudy this morning for our temperatures are warm. We'll be in the seventies as you're headed out the door this morning and it is sticky. We climbed to 92 in Raleigh, 91 in Durham and 93 in Fayetteville. So it's a hot summer feeling afternoon before those storms begin. The heat index will make, feel more like mid to maybe even upper nineties. In a few places. We check out our muggy meter. We're sitting at steamy right now. About to head to tropical tomorrow. That's again a very summer like pattern. But once his front passes us during the day Friday, it's much more comfortable for Saturday, Sunday and into next week. So back to a more normal feel. But again, today and tomorrow wl weather alert days, we're going to be tracking that dangerous potential for tonight and into the first part of the day, tomorrow, very carefully on TV.</p>
