— State authorities on Wednesday identified the couple involved in a domestic shooting and wreck in Wilson on Monday.

Sugeyris Cepeda White was found shot to death inside a BMW following a three-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Forest Hills Road and Ward Boulevard.

Eljuan White also was shot in the incident and was airlifted to Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, where he later died.

Noelle Talley, a spokeswoman for the state Attorney General's Office, said the Whites were married and living in Charlotte. It was unclear what they were doing in Wilson.

Residents said they saw Eljuan White point a gun at his wife and drag her by her hair into his BMW in the 600 block of Whitehead Avenue on Monday morning. He fired several shots during the incident.

Responding officers caught up with the BMW across town, shortly before the three-vehicle wreck. Police said more shots were fired at that time.

Officers A.J. Thomas and T. Sherrod have been placed on administrative duty, pending the outcome of a State Bureau of Investigation probe into the incident. The move is routine in officer-involved shootings.

Well FIRST of all, the child(SHE) is not an "IT." Second of all, NONE of you were in the car when this and that happened so how can you guys sit here and JUDGE either of them as if YOU'RE GOD!??!
Just let God be the one to judge them on judgement day!
Rest In Peace Eljuan & Sue..

In these types of domestic incidents, it is easy to pin the blame on the male; however, when a person has their back against a wall due to malicious acts, you can never predict the reaction of the victim of the aggressor.

I don't blame the police for returning fire. They were just doing their job. If they ran everytime a shot was fired at them we would be over ran by thugs. Sure there was a woman and child in the car, sounds like the woman was already dead, I'm sure they were trained for this and the best outcome was achieved.

I don't know about the PD firing randomly, however the following post certainly falls into that category....!!

"Officers A.J. Thomas and T. Sherrod have been placed on administrative duty, pending the outcome of a State Bureau of Investigation probe into the incident." They don't know who shot who right now. Either way this should have never happened. If police were firing back they were in the wrong! They could have hit anyone cause they were basically shooting blindly.

We are living in the meanest time in History. Why do people want to kill? Why all the rapes, robbery, invasion, breaking into cars and homes? Why all of the things happening to our young and old people with the above? Is Revelations near?

This is a very sad story. It's all too common. Go to your county's domestic violence courtroom and see all of the people (mainly men) who just can't stop raging against their spouse or lover. They just won't stop, slapping, punching, biting, pushing and threatening the one they are supposed to love. It boggles the mind. If you go you will see there is standing room only.

Why doesn't the story state the guy fired several shots at the police and they returned his fire? Typical hack reporting from WRAL.
