RALEIGH, N.C. — Football fans, dog lovers and decorating enthusiasts will pack the North Carolina State Fairgrounds this weekend, which could create traffic congestion on Blue Ridge and Trinity roads.

N.C. State University Wolfpack fans will fill nearby Carter Finley Stadium in a sold out game against Pittsburgh at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Several other events will also be going on at the same time, including the final weekend for the Raleigh Flea Market before the State Fair. It will reopen on Nov. 7. It's one of the largest flea markets in the Southeast and always attracts hundreds of people.
The Southern Ideal Home Show kicks off Friday from noon to 9 p.m. It continues Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The three-day event features nearly 400 builders, designers and landscapers. Homeowners can see, compare and buy the latest building, remodeling, outdoor living, kitchen and bath and interior design products for the home and garden.

The fairground is also hosting the American Kennel Club Responsible Dog Ownership Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Dog-lovers can meet WRAL’s newsroom dog, Tracker, meet the dog breeds, see obedience demonstrations and take a Canine Good Citizens test.
Check out a replay of GOLO's live chat with Andrea Lane, manager of public education for the American Kennel Club, about responsible dog ownership.
Other events at the fairground include the Toy, Hobby and Sports Card Show, an antique bottle and collectibles show and a Quarter Horse association meeting.
