Teen injured in Raleigh shooting

Raleigh police said a 16-year-old was shot in the leg at Fox Hollow and Creech Road in Raleigh on Thursday evening.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police said a 16-year-old was shot at Fox Hollow Drive and Creech Road in Raleigh on Thursday evening.

The teen, whose name was not released, was taken to WakeMed Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said a group of young men were at the intersection around 7 p.m. when the teen was shot in the leg.

Investigators are still searching for the shooter.

Phyllis Creech, who lives on Fox Hollow Drive, said she heard five shots.

Creech Road was closed for more than an hour while police searched the area for bullet casings and other evidence.
