Raleigh police were planning to blanket the area near where a man was found shot Tuesday to search for clues to his death.

Police were handing out fliers door-to-door in the neighborhood near the Battle Ridge at Chastain community where Christopher Ryan Davis, 19, of Clayton, was found face-down in front of a parked car

Police said someone called 911 at 6:34 a.m. Tuesday to report the body off the 6500 block of Guard Hill Drive.

The fliers request that anyone with information about Davis’s last hours call police. Drivers in the area Thursday evening, particularly along Barrington Drive and Mackinac Island Lane, can expect to see police handing out fliers as well.

Anyone who saw any activity along Guard Hill Drive or has information about the case should call police detectives at 919-227-6220 or 919-996-3555. Callers can remain anonymous.

The crime scene was next to a playground and two houses that are under construction. Neighbors said the body was found near a busy thoroughfare connecting several sections of the neighborhood.

The hat i believe says new york i seen it in person!!All he owned when he came down fit in two medium card board boxes and a black trash bag and a bicycle. He was in and out of foster homes and had a rough life was looking forward to fixing that!!!!!!!!Let god judge dont you judge please! Our family is dealing with enough trauma already!!!!!!!!!!!

The hat will tell you what he was "in to".I have seen him round and about Knightdale with "sketchy" people in that exact same car.Yes,He was loved as hopefully every human is,but that does not mean he was not into sketchy business.

He looks like every other 19 year old child! At 19 he didn't have the ability to understand that bad things really DO and WILL happen to you! I pray for his parents.

ok call me stupid but I can not tell what's on his hat????
