Statement from John Wimunc's parents

Cpl. John Wimunc

July 12, 2008

The Parents of John Wimunc wish to release the following statement:

We stand behind our son 100%. The accusations and innuendo’s about the domestic violence charge are unfounded. The paperwork was filed but the facts were false. There was no police report filed on the incident and john did not call me and make any statements to the fact of him hurting himself or Holley. I did however talk to Holley that night and nothing was said about any abuse or gun. John showed up May 28, 2008 at court to fight the false charges and they were dropped because Holley did not show up to face it. They are going thru an uncontested divorce, not a bitter one as some have stated. John is not considered a suspect and is co-operating fully with authorities. We are also worried about Holley and want here back safe for the sake of her family and her kids. We hope this all gets resolved in a positive way for everyone’s sake.
