RALEIGH, N.C. — U.S. Marshals on Monday captured a man for whom police have been searching in connection with the June 7 killing of a pregnant Raleigh woman.

Khaleel A. Oyeneyin, 22, was in New York City's Queens borough when marshals from the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force found him and took him into custody, Raleigh police said.

A murder warrant charges Oyeneyin with slaying Corinnie D. Broadway, 21.

Broadway was found dead inside a building at 2124-205 Larson Drive on June 7 by Raleigh police responding to a call about shots fired.

An autopsy had confirmed that Broadway was pregnant.

Her friends said that Oyeneyin was Broadway's boyfriend and that he killed her because of the pregnancy.

Broadway was a student at Shaw University until last fall. Friends said she wanted to get a degree in social work.
