Subway Surveillance Photo

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man believed to be connected to two recent Subway restaurant robberies in Raleigh.

The first robbery happened Jan. 23 at 10540 Durant Road, and the second, on April 5 at 6320 Capital Blvd.

Investigators said that in both cases, the assailant's description and the manner in which the robberies were committed were similar.

Each crime occurred around 8:45 p.m., and the robber in each case – a black man in his 20s wearing a green jacket and sunglasses – was armed with a handgun, police said.

Anyone with information about either of the crimes or anyone who might recognize the man captured on surveillance video should contact the Raleigh Police Department at 919-890-3555 or Crime Stopper sat 919-226-2746 (CRIME).
