Chapel Hill, N.C. — The body of an 86-year-old woman was found in an open area off Magnolia Drive near the Carolina Meadows retirement facility Wednesday, according to the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office.
Carolina Meadows officials said the woman, Elizabeth Chamberlain, was a resident. They think she was walking in the woods and died of natural causes.
Her body was taken to the medical examiner’s office.
