Fayetteville Police Seek Help in Identifying Shooting Victim
Fayetteville police were seeking the public's help in identifying a man who was shot Sunday morning.

Police received a call about suspicious activity at 6403 Cliffdale Rd., near Pritchard Street, around 2 a.m. Officers found a man who had been shot in the face at the entrance to the Hollywood Heights subdivision.
The victim was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, then airlifted to UNC Hospitals due to the severity of his injuries. He was listed in critical condition Sunday night.
Detectives were working to identify the victim and determine why he was on Cliffdale Road.
Police described the victim as a black male in his 20s and with several distinguishing tattoos.
The left side of his chest is tattooed with the names "James + Candice," and the name "Phyllis" is on his upper right arm. A third tattoo on his upper left arm is a cross below another name. Police have not been able to read that name.
A black beaded necklace and cross, similar to a set of Rosary beads, were found on the victim.
