High School Rallies Around Student With Leukemia
Students at East Wake High School wore orange headbands, T-shirts and bracelets in a show of support for a fellow student diagnosed with leukemia.

Before the game against Holly Springs was called due to rain, the students wore orange headbands, T-shirts and bracelets in a show of support and solidarity for Baker. They chose orange because Baker is a huge Clemson fan.
“The kids here in this community have really rallied around him, and we really appreciate it,” said Coy Baker, Timmy's father.
“He's just the nicest guy. Everyone gets along with him. You never hear a bad word come out of his mouth. He has the best attitude about this," friend Lee Madjar said.
Baker's father said his son has at least three years of treatment ahead of him. He said Timmy is strong and his prognosis is good.
Baker got a special call this week from Clemson Coach Tommy Bowden. He also received a signed University of North Carolina football from Coach Butch Davis.
