OXFORD — A Granville County commissioner has resignedafter less than a month on the job. Robert Strother, Junior stepped downlast week.
Strother was arrested for assaulting his wife lastmonth, just one day before he was sworn in.
His wife later dropped the charges against him, but that didn't quietthe controversy. Strother finally resigned at the request of the currentcommissioners.
