Federal investigators say four major drug rings down east are out of business. The US Attorney's office says 22 suspects are behind bars for allegedly pushing crack cocaine in the Kinston and New Bern areas.

Police say a Kinston house was a makeshift office for one of the groups. They blame these dealers for supplying 90 percent of the drugs in the area.

Janice Cole of the US Attorney's office says this was a significant bust.

Investigators say the four groups actually competed for drug buyers. The suspects will also be charged with numerous shootings in Kinston.
