RALEIGH — You're bound to have heardthe original tune, and are probably familiar with state's fall version:"Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina at fair time." The statefair kicks off this Friday, and the biggest, most incredible fair rideof all time is waiting for you.
It's called the Top Spin, and it is the most expensive fair ride theJames E. Strates show has ever purchased. It can be had for $1.8 million,but you can rent a seat on it for a few minutes for $5.60.
John Strates told WRAL-TV5's BobLangford that riders will get a lot of tossing and turning for theirmoney.
The ride was made in Germany and is one of only four currently in theUnited States. Strates says it is theonlyone that's coming toa fair near you.
It also, he says, comes with its own nickname
Might be a ride to trybeforepartaking of the hot dogs, colossalonions and funnel cakes!
