FUQUAY-VARINA — A logging truck driver has been charged with misdemeanor death by vehiclein connection with this Monday's fatal traffic accident in Fuquay-Varina.
Authorities say Steven Wayne Coffee Jr., 25, of Princeton, ran a red lighton U.S. 401 and plowed into a car. The driver of the car, Ada Upchurch,died in the accident.
It is the second time Coffee has faced such a charge. Records show he wasconvicted in Wayne County in connection with a 1993 accident.
