Nemechek Wins, Dedicates Victory to His Brother

CHARLOTTE — Mark Martin tries to make history today at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Martin goes for Busch Grand National win number 32. The record of 31was originally set by Jack Ingram.

Martin won't see Victory Lane today, and neither will these guys: MikeWallace gets together with Joe Bessey; Wallace in the seven goes high;Bessey in the six comes down to the bottom of the track, and Bessey getssmacked again; Kyle Petty hits Bessey while the leaders are racing back tothe start-finish line. All drivers are okay.

The entire race belongs to Joe Nemechek. It's an emotional day for theNemechek family. John Nemechek was killed in a crash at Homestead. JoeNemechek dedicates this race to his brother's memory, winning theCarQuest 300.

Kevin LePage is second. Martin third. Jimmy Spencer fourth. PhilParsons takes fifth.
