CHAPEL HILL — A bigger, better, state of the art PlannedParenthood is coming to Chapel Hill. Clinic contributors and organizersbroke ground Monday.
Nearly $2 million has been raised to build the new clinic, whichwill be twice as big as the current facility and will offer clients a fullrange of health services.
For the first time in this area first trimester abortions will beincluded in services offered at the facility.
The new Planned Parenthood will serve both Orange and Durham Counties.CEO Janet Colm says there is community support for the organization anditsservices.
About a dozen anti-abortion activists armed with posters and signs,protested Monday's groundbreaking.
